Prayers can be sung, accompanied by the organ.

Prayers may be spoken by someone at the front of the church, or sometimes a verse from a hymn is sung to the music of the organ. This gives the band a rest from playing, and helps them think about the words of the hymn. Some of the words sung in prayer are:

'Come give us still your powerful aid, and urge us on, and keep us yours.'

Each child in the church is prayed for by an adult. The adults get a photograph of the child to remind them to pray. Two people praying for each other are called prayer partners.

Each service always ends with a prayer called the Benediction. This is a final prayer of blessing for the people in the service. One of the most famous of these prayers goes:

Prayer partners for the Sunday club

May the grace of Our Lord Jesus Christ,

and the love of God,

and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,

be with us all, evermore,

Amen.
