After they have had the classes, they would then read the Articles of War, which are promises made by a Salvationist, and sign a certificate. Sylvia, the Sunday School teacher, would help children to become a Junior Soldier. There are differences between being a Salvationist, and a member of other churches. For example, we don't have communion, and we don't drink. During the week I am in charge of the Salvation Army homeless hostel, called Lyndon House. We help people who come in to find new houses to live in. I believe God can change everyone's lives, even those who come into the hostel and have drug and alcohol problems. God loves them as much as those who come to the church. I put into action what I believe. As the Salvation Army says...
