Lyndon House, a home for the homeless

Lyndon House was built by the Salvation Army for men and women who are homeless. It is run by Hazel who is a Major at the Ipswich citadel.

People who stay there have a morning and evening meal, TV lounges, a video room, a quiet room for reading, and a laundry. They each sleep in their own room, and each floor has shared toilets, bathrooms and showers.

Joey in his room

This is Joey, and he has lived at Lyndon House for about eight years. At 79 years of age Joey has no family and no home, only the company of the other peole who stay there (and the good food provided!). He speaks highly of the Salvationists, who make his life so pleasant and comfortable.
