The uniform worn by a male Salvationist

This is the uniform that a male Salvation Army soldier would wear. To wear this uniform you have to become a senior soldier, which you could do from the age of 14. You make promises (called the Articles of War) in front of the church. To do this you have to go to recruiter classes, lead by the recruiting sergeant, to find out more about the faith of the Salvation Army. A child can make similar promises and become a Junior Soldier.

The tie with the Blood and Fire crest
 
The shoulder badge says 'Ipswich citadel'
On this Salvationist's shoulder, there is a silver badge showing he belongs to the Ipswich Citadel, and the letters C.S.M. which stand for 'Corps Sergeant Major'. A corps is the name given to a group of Salvationists who worship at one citadel. On his hat and tie you can see the Salvation Army crest.
The hat, like many other items in the citadel, has the Salvation Army crest on
