Two of the three church bells at Combs are no longer hanging in the tower, but are on the floor at the back of the church.
Church bells are usually hung in the church tower; they are rung to call people to worship or to announce a celebration, such as a wedding. In World War II, they were to be used as a warning if Germany were to invade Britain. The sound of the bells can be heard for many miles.
