My name is Jan, and I am the assistant parish priest. I take services, funerals, weddings and baptism. I do pastoral work, which is helping, caring, listening and talking to people.

I believe God called me to be a priest. Many people find it helpful that there is a woman, as well as a man to whom they can ask for help. Tony and I are very different, so we do things differently, and can look after people in different ways. It helps us to reach more people in Combs.

During the week, I am a hospital chaplain. My faith in God affects the way I live my life, for example, I pray about important decisions. My faith is the basis for all I do.
