As MCF is such a large church, there will be more than one cup and one plate of bread shared around.

At communion, Christians share bread and wine. In MCF, grape juice is used instead of wine. In some churches, wafers are used instead of bread. Many Christians like to drink out of one cup, and to eat from one loaf of bread to show they are one body (community) through their faith. However, in a large church such as MCF, a number of glasses of wine and several loaves of bread are used.

Before the bread and wine are passed around, it is blessed, which means a prayer of thanks and remembrance is said.
